We at the Gym Spot are extremely proud of our team members. These boys and girls put in an an incredible amount of effort and time to get to competition levels.

Coach Norbert

Coach Norbert has been coaching for over 35 years starting his career under the tutelage of Bob Bohl. He has been the Director and President of The Gym Spot since it's inception.

Norbert and his wife Kim met at the Gym Spot and have been working to create a positive environment for their gymnasts for 21 years.

He is dedicated to ensuring a fun and safe environment for all students. In addition to his pursuits at The Gym Spot, he is a Special Olympics coach.

	Kim Walczynksi Kim is a coach for our pre-school program and she coaches the girls’ team where she specializes in floor routines and dance. Her love for gymnastics started in grade school and continued through high school where she competed on both the orchesis and gymnastics teams. Coach Kim's Achievements 1985 - 1988: Rhythm and Moves Dance Company, Harper College 1984 - 1990: American Academy of Gymnastics 1985 - 1991: Dance Director for Palatine Park Distric 1990 - 1991: Director of the Palatine Park District Gymnastics Program 1986 - 1992: Director of Dance and Gymnastics at Kelly's Camp

About The Gymnastics Spot

The Gymnastics Spot was born August 28th 1978 in what is now Dance Center North Libertyville. The next year we moved to Lincoln School. Seventeen years ago MK Industries’ owner and Spot parent decided to build at our former Shaddle Ave. location. We asked if they would add on to their building. They agreed, and we found a more suitable home. On November 19, we moved into a state of the art 25,000 square foot facility on Tower Road in Mundelein.
We strive to instilled in all our athletes our philosophy:

“We use gymnastics as a tool to teach positive life values in a nurturing environment. Gymnastics teaches goal setting, hard work, self discipline, and control in a fun & exciting fashion throughout our entire program, from Preschool to the Competitive Team.”
